The purpose of this document is to introduce the intraLibrary manual set. This should help to guide you towards the appropriate manual.


2. Users and Roles

To find the correct manual it is important to recognise who each manual is written for. Some manuals are introductory guides, some are very technical, others are reference guides for experienced users.

The broad groups who will find these manuals useful are:

Users
Those who want to search and browse through intraLibrary to discover objects and use them, either by creating links to them or by exporting them.
Contributors
Those who want to add new objects to intraLibrary. Some contributors will carry out the whole process of uploading, creating metadata, cataloguing, quality control, etc while others may only undertake one part of the process.
Librarians
Those who manage objects and classification system aspects of intraLibrary.
Administrators
Those who have control over how intraLibrary is configured, users, groups, workflows, etc.
System Administrators
Those who are responsible for the server on which intraLibrary is installed and run.
Developers
Those who are responsible for integrating intraLibrary with other systems or services.
